Do you prefer 5 or 6 inches?
Occasionally I actually replace tools! (Very rarely when the new spring/summer edit of the next directory is not released yet though you understand). This week I chose to replace the splash brushes
So off we went meandering down the painting aisle in b&q – remembering to look a bit butch so everybody knew we were plasterers of course – heaven forbid anyone think we were the type to wear white dungarees for a living!
So we always struggle to find anything of the 5 inch variety – never mind 6 inches! The 5 inch variety we chose is a Harris wooden splash brush. It’s impressively high price of £12.99 made me wince knowing what it would end up like months down the line!
It’s been used a couple of times and is a great brush for getting into corners and straightening out before the corner trowel does it’s magic.
Now I’m led to believe there are magical 6 inch brushes out there somewhere in the world and I’d like to feel the difference it would make with an extra inch....wouldnt we all!!
I’m also keen to try a felt brush too but am scared of killing it on first use by leaving it in a dirty bucket and forgetting it when the promise of a customers coffee and lemon drizzle cake is on the table!
So what I’m after guys is some feedback on this and I will be publishing the findings to help other readers make the right choice.
Send us your pictures of your faithful splash brushes/felt brushes/spray bottles and a word or two why you use them. There’s no prize I’m afraid, only the prestige of featuring in my next blog.....who could want anything more!
Until then – always search for the extra inch ladies – it’s out there somewhere! 💋
